Got new Juwel Vision 180 some Questions

Hi everyone

Since i was last on here i have upgraded from a 10G to 40G Juwel Vision.

I transferred my old cycled filter to the new tank with original fish and added some more since.

I currently have:

2 Platies
2 Guppies
2 German Blue Rams
3 Sterbai Corys...so cool and beautiful
10 Tiny Neons

Plus 2 x Amano Shrimp and 1 Apple and 1 Black stripey Nerite snail.

How is my stocking level for a 40 Gallon? Can i get many more fish?

I want to add 2-3 bigger fish as a centre piece...i like Angels but i like my tetras better i know they could be eaten. Are they any safer since there are 10 of them?
I also like Silver Dollars and Dwarf Gouramis...what do you recommend any other ideas?

Is it normal for the corys to go crazy up and down the glass as if they are looking at their reflection?

Can i use a magnetic algae cleaner which is designed for my old acrylic tank on my new glass tank?

Could anyone recommend some unique fish or something different e.g crayfish etc to keep in my old 10G, which can be transferred to my main bigger tank if i need to quarantine an ill or new fish?...i dont like leaving my nice 10G empty.

Sorry for so many questions...but im still learning

You should be able to put a few more fish in there. I'm not sure of the adult size of all or your fish, but I'm thinking you have about 30" of fish. (I'm not sure about the bioload of the snails though). That would leave you with about 10 more inches. I would think you could put a dwarf gourami in there with no problem. You could also put a school of 5 dwarf neon rainbow fish in there also, but that might be pushing the bio-load with the snail included.

Sometimes cories do swim up and down the glass. None of my current cories do it, but I've had cories in the past that did.

I think you will be okay using your acrylic cleaner on glass, you just shouldn't use a glass cleaner on acrylic.

I wouldn't put a crayfish in your community tank, he will probably eat all of the fish in there. Also if you have your tank fully stocked, it wouldn't be wise to take the fish out of the 10 and put him in the community tank, due to overstocking.

Thanks Jdhef

Anyone else got any ideas...on a few eye catching fish as a centre piece to go with current fish?
