I think the white circle might be fungus

Also...one of my adult platys got a white spot on her head near her eye. It got larger, and she also got a patch on her side too. I isolated her, in a tank cycled with tetra safe start, and used maracyn2, shes in her 4th day of treatment and the side wound is healing and her eye spot is improving. Perhaps my experience might offer some help?

matt..i bet that the shrimp could go into something else, while doing a 5 day treatment with maracyn2 for your mollie..? My platys was round, not fluffy, and it did spread until I medicated her..shes doing so well and its going away. You could do it too

matt..i waited a day to see if it spreads and it did. hers was not a 'typical' fluffy hairy fungus, but it still was a fungus. can you get maracyn2?

the maracyn2 trreatment is a 5 day treatment, results were good in 3 days, but you have to continue for the full 5 days so it is truly gone

Aw Matt, I'm really sorry. Crumb. I hate when you're doing everything right but everything goes wrong. It's so disheartening.
Looks like some good info has already been given so I'll wish you lots of luck.
I sure hope things improve soon.

Just a helpful suggestion. I have a bunch of kritter keepers a small filter and small heater (tetra from walmart).
It's a pretty inexpensive when you don't have anywhere to put something quickly.

im sorry for more losse matt whens the last time you tested for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates? are you still using salt? I would try to find some prime and do at least a week or more of daily partial water changes ...adding some stress coat as well will make them feel better...between the fish getting stuck to the filter and being totally healthy prior to that, I think that tank needs a break with some more natural additives...looking back on your posts, its probably going to be a good break for you and your fish ....

So I should stop using AmQuel+? I tested my water about a week ago...... so what do you think PIMAFIX or jungle fungus tabs.

amquel+ will be fine with daily partial 20-30% water changes for 2 weeks.......I would give this tank a break from meds and just let nature take over for a bit...but thats me..

no every day until you leave for your vaca...20% isnt that much ..and I really feel this tank needs a break from meds and just some natural things done..use your amquel+ and 20% then a nice big water change before vaca in 2 weeks...you had ammonia readings with these fish a few weeks ago..that might be what your seeing on your lil man and not fungus....you saw no other signs of illness on the fish that have passed..I would once again, give this tank a break and just do the water changes every day for 2 weeks before you leave...thats just my opinion tho and of course its your tank and you need to do as you feel

I have not used any meds. in the tank ever......

The Amquel+ is a good product, but StressCoat contains Aloe Vera which is good for the fishes slime coat. You could use both if you have elevated ammonia or nitrite levels. If your levels are zero you could use just the StressCoat.

I can't really give a recommendation on the meds since I've never used either product, but I have heard good things about Jungle Products. If I'm not mistaken, Pimafix contains clove oil and shouldn't be used if you have gourami's or a betta in the tank.
