Quarantine tank

Wow im so lucky today i found an 10G tank with light, heater + filter ! someone was throwing it out!!

im going to use it as a quarantine tank.

Ani tips?

Keep extra media in your filter on your regular tank to help "instant" cycle it in case you need it.

Other than that, smart move Having a place to put sick or new fish is a great thing.

so i should cycle this 10 gallon 1st ? (my filter from my 150g are really different) compare to this one it has like 4 layers of materials

Like bolivianbaby said, put the filter media from the 10 in your established tank.
As long as it's there for at least 2 weeks you can quick cycle the 10 when you need it.

A great find! A great idea about adding the new filter to your established tank. Then it will be ready to use when you need it for the Q tank.

I'd keep it bare-bottomed, with no live plants as medication can affect them. If you do add decorations, make sure that they can easily be cleaned.

Ooh, and make sure the pH is relatively similar to the tank that the new fish will be going into
