My Swordtail is a bully

Hello Everyone.

I recently purchased 3 female swordtails. I went to buy platys but they had a dead one in the tank and it was on its on canister so I decided on the swordtails. I made the mistake of assuming that they wouldn't get too big. They are 2.5-3 inches.

Anyway, my problem is that one of them is a bully. That one stays on one side and the others stay on the other side. Whenever the bully swims toward them they will back up and swim away.

I just noticed this today, I dont have another tank so I was wondering what I could do.

there are often problems with aggression between new livebearers or already existing ones in the same tank. you could take out the bully and put him in a separate container for some time ( a few hours) rearrange some of the decorations then put her back in. she wont recognize the surroundings and the aggression should stop. It sounds crazy but it has worked.
good luck

Yes, I agree. You could just try changing it around without removing any fish though, it might not work as well though.
