Got all my other tanks free.

Used tanks here go for around $.80-1.00 per gallon.

New are expensive, a new 75gal around $250-300. (tank only)

New are definitely expensive. I only look for used tanks now. Atlanta metro is so huge that we can find great deals if we wait for them. We got our 120 gallon w/ stand for $150. A friend gave me the 75 and the stand for free. Now we have all the tanks that we'll ever need and aren't looking for any more.

LOL.... it's mostly a matter of what we can reasonably expect to take care of. When it's all said and done we'll have the 8, 55, 75, and 120 FW, and the 50, 100, and 125 SW. 7 tanks (6 of them pretty large) is pretty much going to max us out in terms of what we can have and still maintain the level of maintenance that we have come to expect from ourselves.

well first 60 gallon tank i was robbed by LFS lol the 55 i bought for 50 ucks with filtration and tons of extras thanks to craigslist and the 30 was mine from years ago

Try Freecycle...I have picked up my best tanks for nothing, and most with filters, lights, and stands.

Man, I spent around $15-20 a gallon on my 10 Gallon.

Most of that was bad mistakes or stuff I didn't need.
