Unfortunately, the site went down just when I needed it. I've been having a lot of issues over the past couple of days, and I could use some advice.
My first concern is my
betta, Delta. He's orange, with shiny blue at the end of his tail. I noticed two days ago that the blue had spread up along the edges of his tail, and that it looked thick and puffy. The only other time I saw a fish with a tail like that was when I was asked to take care of my neighbor's sick betta. His tail was nearly gone, and what was left of it was shiny blue and puffy. He had trouble swimming, and eventually died. Delta must have gotten it when I used the same equipment on my betta tank.
I don't know what it is, or how to treat it. I initially moved him to a seperate bucket so Beta wouldn't catch it, but after only one day in the bucket, his tail was half-gone from fin rot. I moved him back to his tank, and he seems happier there, but he hasn't gotten any better, and now his tail is in shreds. Does anyone know what he has? How can I help him get better? I really don't want to lose another betta.
