Is this normal

So I had 6 leopard danios in my tank for about 3 weeks and today I got what I thought was 6 green cories but there were actually 7. After feeding everyone the danios are now on the bottom and the cories are at the middle to top of the tank. See they (danios) are so greedy they are down there trying to eat the shrimp pellets that are supposed to belong to the cories.

It is the funniest thing I have yet to see with this tank but I just want to make sure it is ok. BTW the cories love the bonsai tree.......

This morning one of the cories was found dead in the bonsai tree. All of my water params are good, pH 7.0, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 10. Should I worry about the other fish, everyone else looks good. Thanks much

I'm sorry you lost a cory. Did you Q them before adding them to your tank?
How's the danio doing today? Sometimes when you add new fish the others act funky till they get used to sharing quarters.

I did not Q, I put them in a clean bucket and slowly added water from my tank over about 1-2 hours before I put them in. I am at work now but everyone looked fine this morning before I left. Should I look for anything specific? Hopefully, when I get home they will be ok.

Unfortunatly, sometimes these things happen when we bring home new fish.
I'm glad everyone else seems fine.

Good morning. Sorry to hear you lost the Cory. Chances are it could have been ill when you purchased it. As long as the others are fine and your water chemistry is fine I wouldn't worry too much. As you said keep your eyes on things. Best of luck. Hope you can share some pictures along the way
