I would get more plants - real or fake - so the locals will have places to rest/hang out. I love the wrecked plane.

I agree, add more plants. But the theme is really great! And the color of the gravel is cool.

You've done a wonderful job. I would like to see more plants if it were mine but it's a personal preference. As mentioned more would give some hiding spots. Nice theme!

As everyone else has said - that is awesome colored gravel..... Get some real plants. If you go online, there are more to choose from than the fake ones (IMO of course but do as you please :0) The driver of that plane could have been a WOMAN!!!! haha....

Fake is fine. I (just me!) would still get a couple big tall ones for the back to make extra nice hidey-holes. But I think it's looking great!

What kind of fish are you planning for?

jwokmuba2,

The tank is looking good. Fake plants require less care than real ones but after having some real ones, I don't think I'll ever go back to fake ones. Instead of plastic, you could look into silk plants for more variation.... Good luck.

sharkitty,

i think that im goin to have a community tank;

1 dwarf gourami
4 schwartz cories
3 black skirt tetras
3 white skirt tetras
1 clown pleco ( if i can find one)
and something else, not sure yet but probly goin to be colorful, and i kinda thought about some snails also, idk yet??

I would get more plants, taller ones in the back, and shorter ones in the front. Maybe also get a black background.

Ya, very cool theme I love it!
Something to consider - when you shop for more plants, you should focus on tall plants for the back.
If not tall, then at least keep adding them to the back. I think it will make your tank even cooler than it allready is!

Beautiful!!

well i have a background allready, just a blue aquarium scene with some swordtails, platies and lots of plants in it. I do like the idea of a taller plant in the back, but what about a long upward twisting piece of driftwood that would separate the boat and plane, with lots of holes. i think that might make a great addition also. let me know what u think?

instead of snails why dont you try shrimps instead ? they look nicer and swim around alot plus you wont have to worry about the snails breeding like mad ( a problem i have and still battleing) plus they wont compeat with food that ur plec would eat
