Injured Gourami

Since my original freak out of adding 5 male Gourami that appeared to be really aggressive into my tank a couple weeks ago they have really mellowed out. They are no longer chasing each other, they are no longer harassing Mr. Knife etc. This morning however I noticed that the smaller of the Gourami has lost half a barbel. It looks a little frayed at the end but other than that he appears to be in good health, still active and eating, nothing abnormal. I am wondering if I need to set up my QT tank and treat him with anything to prevent infection or just leave him as is for now. On the plus side if I do need to QT him I have a spare filter in the 55g for just such an occasion

As always thanks

they will grow back on its own..with clean water and some added stress coat to relax him...no need to qt him as it could stress him more...but I dont think things are as calm as you think if hes missing a barbel unless he cought it on a decoration or something...good luck with him~

Thanks Shawnie Oh I know things are not perfectly calm but they are no longer harassing the other fish and chasing each other all over the place non stop like they did the first week I added them. Of course as I am posting this small boy is bulling around one of the golds lol. I think its time to start hitting up Craigslist and get my MTS on.
