I put this in the freshwater section - because i thought most people have freshwater before saltwater - so thats why

OKAY - so I hope to get a nice discussion going on here about memories of your first fish
So what was your first fish, and why? Did you name it??

Mine was a pair of golden gouramis
One died after a year, the other went on for another few years

They had no names, and they were in a hidiously ugly tank with green and yellow gravel

The first fish I can remember was Floyd the betta. He was an ornery little bugger, but I suppose it's justified because he had to live in a bowl for a year

The first fish I put in a tank were my two mollies, Janis and Jimi (later I learned that they were both males, oops) Janis was a silver molly (and he was stunning) and Jimi was a dalmation molly that turned almost all black...
