new fish

I walked into my LFS today and was happy to see that they haad gotten a new shipment last week! The owner is really into cichlids and has every cichlid known to man i think. I was looking for a scavenger type fish because i just converted my 55g to sand for my banjo catfish. Has anybody ever seen albino corydoras with long fins? I just got the little guys from my LFS ( and a weather loach). I had never seen them before and thought they were really neat and would go well with my other albinos in my 55g that i am redecorating at the moment. Also can a weather loach climb up the filter? It's an overhang filter and i am just curious. I will post pics of my tank when the sand settles. Any suggestions for getting that to happen quicker? It's been two days!

I found this on "about.com"

The weather loach enjoys hiding places, and will appreciate rocks and other landscaping materials, as well as something as simple as a plastic tube left in the tank. Take care to keep filter inlet tubes well covered, as the weather loach will not hesitate to swim up an uncovered tube. It is not unusual for owners to report having found their loach inside the filter.

Good sized daily partial water changes should help speed things up.

One more note, and someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe weather/dojo loaches prefer cold water.
