So earlier this week I went to buy some Rainbows to have a "day time" fish and some color in my tank. But the ones they had where under 2" and I feared that may be an issue with my Knife since bows grow so slow. Then I saw a tank of gourami that where just over 2". I remembered seeing them listed under community fish (which in my mind = peaceful), so after explaining my situation to the
LFS girl she suggested I get males instead of pairs. I got 5 males thinking they where a schooling fish... I get them home and do some reading and realize my oops.
4 days later half my mystery snails are dead the other half have all their eye stalks picked off and my Knife wont come out at all. So I think I am going to try and sell these guys off on Craigslist this weekend.
Does anyone have a better suggestion for a Peaceful Community Fish that will tolerate 8.0
pH and average temps 78-80F? And not eat my snails...
