Now what do I do?

Ok, Hello everyone.

As you may have seen my other thread, my TSS had not worked. I did a WC, waited a day and got another bottle of TSS, this time from a local store.

Now one week later, to my rejoice, my readings are:

ammonia: 0 (I jumped up and down when it didnt turn green)
nitrite: 1
nitrate: 10
pH: 8

Stock:
Two Cory Cats (I lost one yesterday )

Planned Stock:
1 DG
3 Guppies
6 Small Schooling Fish
(Maybe another 2 Corys?)

So, my question is what do I do now?

Thank you everyone for all the help received and all the help to come.

RIP: (fred)

Let your nitrite levels drop to 0, do a WC to bring your nitrates down (if they're high), and add your stock slowly (1-2 fish a week).

From what I can tell, your planned stock looks great!

Keep us posted on the progress and your tank looks great!

give it another 30% water change in 3 days,(10 days max of adding TSS) then test it for a good week before adding anything else....sorry for your loss of your cory

Thank You.

Ok, I tested the water again today.

Readings:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: .25
Nitrate: 5
pH:8

How is this possible? I have done no WC, yet my nitrates went down. Was it the plants?

Today is the 10/11th day, so what do I do now? Thanks for the help/comments!

yes the live plants will eat the nitrates...do a 30% water change and test tomorrow morning

Ok, I did the WC, but I made a mistake. I started the filter before I had a chance to add the prime. Will the bacteria be ok?
