brown spots

I have noticed some brown spots on the side of my tank , its on the sides of my 55 hexagon tank ! one on one side and like three on another side what could this be and how could i get rid of it ?

sounds like diatoms....just wipe them off..how long has the tank been running?

just a couple of months i think ! already had some molly die on me because they were sick , i think the tank at fish place was infested ! still have two from that bunch that are alive ! then got some tetras !

yep diatoms can stay around for up to a year....

forgot to say that lucky died , was one of the fish infested with parasites or something in the water at LFS! Have had three mollies die because of something ! not good , saved them! still have two in tank !

probably from the tank not being cycled as all your other posts that we have tried to help you on

Yup, agree with Shawnie. Diatoms are easy to remove, I often have them in my little six gallon tank

I had a horrible outbreak of diatoms, they covered one side of the aquarium and all the decorations. Bought a BN pleco and in a day she'd scrubbed the whole thing top to bottom. Unfortunately, that means she compacted it all into pleco poo, took me forever to vacuum it all out.
