No Ammonia???

Hi.... My tank is 4-5 weeks old. It has no ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate. Why is this?

If this is the tank that you have posted on your aquarium info. Which master test kit are you usings? Is it expired possiably? Is it strips or liquid? Have you added anything that you haven't listed. What filteration are you using?

I have an API master test kit with liquid. Products I use are AmQuel+ which gets rid of Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Also I use aqurarium salt

Assuming your test Kit is not expired-I have read threads
regarding this. I think you can check on the back of the bottle for expiration dates. You didn't mention anything about filteration. What tyoe of media is in your filter. There really should be ammonia in there by now.

I got the test kit for Chirstmas... I have a power filter and it has mechanical, biological, and chemical.

I am sure someone else may have suggestions. Unless there is something in your filter that is removing the ammonia. Then the cycle can't get started. I have no idea why you are showing no ammonia

sorry
