My fish hate the caves I made for them and are hiding between the back glass which has a black background and my driftwood, I think the knife may have even burrowed a whole under the large driftwood to hide.

I decided that I should go pick up some PVC pipe from the store today to make them some better caves. I'll probably just hit up Home Depot or Lowes I am wondering if I should do anything special to clean them? Would a simple boil work? Or should I do a bleach soak?

Boiling them should be fine. That's what I did.

I agree with lucy..and also pick up some aquarium silicone and you can stick a bunch of rocks or other things to hide the white its a cool , cheap , DIY kinda fun thing
