I was away from home for about a week. Had my daughter take care of my fishes. Before I left I had the wonderful pleasure of having my fish in my 75g take food out of my hand, greet me when they seen me approach the tank. I would sit for at least a half hour feeding them.
Since I've been back they wont even come to the front of the tank. They scoot behind whatever they can to hide from me. I feel horrible! My gold Severum who used to scare me with her little nips at my fingers while eating, wont even eat now. At least not while I'm looking. My BP's wont eat out of my hands now either.
My daughter said she would just drop the food in and leave. Could a week make that much of a difference in their behavior? How long before they trust me again? I'm both scared for them and saddened by this. I actually feel as if I let them down.
