hey guys I have a 50 gallon tank, and I have not for the life of me been able to find my red platy! I had 2 females and a male and there is one female missing! she was acting funny for a few days (laying at the bottom, not moving much) and now she is just gone! and now the male has been acting all emo about it haha he just hangs out under a log all day...any thoughts?

I'm sorry your platy is missing.
Yes, it's possible that other fish would consume a dead one.
I hope you find her.

Dead or alive

SurfCityFish:
It generally happens that the other fish do tend to predate on the dead fish...but i have noticed only sharks or plecos doing that.

I'd check around the tank just to be safe. I hope you find her soon
When mine reappeared they appeared to be in a lot of shock, sso if they do arrive, be prepared to look after them back to health.
It turns out mine had been living under the filtration foam, which is where all the fish poo lives, so there was probably quite a bit of ammonia.
