Question regarding feeding

Hello, some of you may remember me, i've got a 10 gallon freshwater tank that is fully cycled for over a month now, fish are very healthy and happy. Here is my question: I am going out of town for a couple of days, can they go without being fed for 2 days or 48 hours?

I have 5 Neon Tetras and 2 Platy's.

Thanks!

yep, they'll be fine without food for 48 hours. They could even go longer. Have a great trip, I hope it's for pleasure, not business !

I would fed them before I leave and upon arrival.

48 hours fastening won't make the fish happier but shall not harm them either. That's a probable scenario in the wild.

Thanks Joy1125 and Pepe, it's just a routine family visit. I know saltwater fish can go a few days but I wasn't sure about freshwater. Those little rascals are spoiled rotten! I feed them a varied diet of flakes and frozen bloodworms. It's funny to see them scramble around at the top front of the tank when I come near it! They know they are about to be fed, spoiled fish I say! Fed twice a day...although never more than they can polish off in 30 seconds.

Anyway, I digress...thanks again
