Stocking 12-Gallon Nano Cube

Just looking for some stocking options for my 12-gallon nano cube. I've got some ideas of my own, but am curious as to what others are thinking. The current seems a bit strong, but would it be too strong for a betta? Would strong swimmers like Glofish prefer the stronger current?

Betta's are mostly found in pools of calm water, i.e. rice paddies. I would look into fishes like White cloud mountain minnows, celebes rainbows, furcata rainbows. Just a few that come from slow to mid flowing rivers. Or you could try slowing down the water flow.

I currently house my betta in a 12g nano cube and at first the current from the outtake was too strong where he was getting moved around but I just bent it downwards and it's not an issue now.

If I did decide to stock with a Betta and Cory Cats, which should I put in first? How many Cory Cats should I ultimately stock?

i'd put the cories in first, definitely. that way the betta won't feel as though they are entering "his" territory. even if you do that, you may still have some aggression issues depending on the temperament of your betta. for a 12 gallon tank i wouldn't go with more than 3 or 4 cories, unless you get pygmy cories, in which case you could probably have 6.
