I have a Magnum 350 canister filter (Canister only, no bio-wheel). I know I need to change out the Carbon but what do I do about the blue filter sleeve? Do I put a new one in or do I rinse the old one out in some tank water I've removed? I'm only recently cycled and I'm afraid to mess that up. It has been about 7 days or so since I last cleaned my gravel and I know not to clean gravel and change filter media all at the same time.

I'm really nervous about getting all this done and it didn't really come with any maintenance instructions. I'm not even sure how to take this thing apart!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Good morning. I'd just rinse the blue pad in your siphoned tank water. You can use it until it's falling apart.

That's what I do with my 350 too. Use it till it falls in pieces haha.
