Hello, I was reading the back of the bottles of Prime and Amquel, Amquel+ and here's something I'm wondering: Amquel says right on the bottle that it does not interfere with the biological cycle. It does not state that on the Prime. What is the difference between the two products. I realize that Amquel+ is different than Amquel: + includes detoxifying nitrites and nitrates, while Amquel is the more basic version mostly for ammonia, chlorine, and chloramine. Sounds like there is a difference?? Not sure though. Anyone have the real scoop on this? Judith

Hello. I can't really give you a comparison because I only use Amquel + and I've never used Prime. I can say that Amquel + does not interfere with my biological cycle. I know a lot of people on this site do use Prime as well.

I use prime and Stress Coat+ (not at the same time) and neither has effected the cycle.

i've used prime on all of my tanks and never had a problem with the cycle
