This material for a divider?

I want a divider for a tank.

http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/212331/product.web

Would this material restrict water heating and filteration on one side? I know it says the water flow won't be affected but I just want to be 100% positive before buying it. :S Has anyone used that material before?

I haven't used it but it should work ok. Water flow will be fine as it's perforated so it shouldn't really affect heating or filtration.

To add to Nick's text...thatfishplace.com (or thatpetplace.com) has always been good to advertise correctly. I would trust them. drsfostersmith.com as well.

Thanks to you both.

aquarist48, I'll keep that in mind. And heh, I was hoping I'd find a reasonably priced 5 or 5.5 gallon tank at the site you mentioned. I can't seem to find them anywhere! I'm probably going to give up and buy something like a Critter Tote or a Hermit Crab Kit.

I'm so sick of people making 5g fish bowls that cost $75. Why can't I find a standard, cheap, bland looking rectangle? :S My only luck so far was this: http://oceanaquatics.com/store/produ...llon-Aquarium/ Hopefully shipping won't prove to be over the top... since it appears to be in Canada, and I'm in USA.

Have you checked WalMart or local fish stores for smaller tanks?

Yup, no luck there. I need to buy online though. It will be shipped to my boyfriend, not to me. :3

do you have a walmart or craft store around you? if so, go to the craft dept and get a package of needle point mesh ..you get like 10 different colors for $4-5 then you use the binders for notebooks on all the sides and cut it to fit ...heres a pic of what it looks like DSC07031.jpg

Is that what you use? I do have a Michael's Arts and Crafts store only about a mile away so that'd be better than buying the divider online.
