Elephant Nose

I'm having issues with my elephant nose eating. At first I attributed it to the fact that it's a nocturnal fish that was stressed from shipping (he came from Oregon) and was getting used to things. It's almost a month later now and I think he's looking pretty skinny. It only took my black ghost knife (who was shipped from California) about 2 weeks to come out and eat along with the other fish at feeding time. I've tried feeding an hour after lights out, but I have a fully stocked tank with some very pigish tetras and rainbows, so they always notice when I try to do this and my elephant nose still doesn't get any food. Any other suggestions?

are you feeding him the proper food? maybe try and call where you got him and check to see what they were feeding him. h emay have been feed a particular diet all his life and will basically starve himself to near death unless he gets food he will eat or recognize? my puffer did this so its not all uncommon...especially fish that get live food.

only other thing i can think of off the top of my head is he has internal parasites of some sort.

Try feeding it with an eyedropper, just move really slowly so you don't scare it.
