I have got a new fish tank which i am currently cycling, it is only about 4 gallons, and i am wondering whether i should get a cory or some other type of catfish or maybe a snail to put in the tank. Any advise, tips or suggestions?

4 gallons is pretty tiny, I'd just keep a nice betta in it to be honest, they're gorgeous

I agree, really the only ting that can be kept in >10 gal. is a betta.

with 4 gallons i would suggest a Betta and maybe 2 or 3 smaller Cory's, this depends on the attitiude of the betta.

The problem with tetras is that they do best in shoals, and they need places where to shoal around in, so something as small as that won't suffice.
