Welcome to Fish Lore

Wow, I'm not sure I'd know where to start with a tank your size. I have smaller tanks.
Congrats on doing research before staring your tank. Many of us didn't only to regret it.

I'll have to leave the stocking suggestions to someone else.
One thing I'd like to suggest is omit the African Dwarf Frogs. They'd have a hard time getting food before all the fish get to it. They can be pretty slow at finding it and would face a good chance of starving. Another factor is they do best in tanks between 12-18" high. They have to get to the top for air and could tire out before reaching the top, especially young frogs.
Here's so info about them: Care Sheet For African Dwarf Frogs

Fish Lore is easily accessed through search engines so may I suggest, for your safety and privacy to change your user name to something other than your e-mail address?
Here's how: How Do I: Request NEW UserName

Good luck, I'm sure other members can help you with your stocking.

Welcome to FishLore!

Stocking your aquarium will be dependant on your filtration and maintenance regime. Assuming that ammonia and nitrite levels remain at zero then you will not have over stocked your aquarium.

If you choose to only perform aquarium maintenance once per week and your nitrates do not exceed 20ppm between maintenance periods you are safely stocked. If you are willing to maintain your aquarium more often to keep nitrate levels at a safe level then you can stock more heavily.

Live plants will also help reduce nitrate levels in your aquarium. So if your intentions are to keep a planted aquarium then you could keep a larger stock then in a “plastic” environment.

I wish you the best of luck in your new adventure!

Welcome to Fishlore!!!

Everyone has given you great advice so far

Here is the stocking scheme I would go with:
15 Cardinal Tetras: 30 inches
15 Lemon Tetras: 30 inches
15 Serpae Tetras: 30 inches
10 Panda Cories: 20 inches
8 Platies: 16 inches
30 Ghost Shrimp: no bioload

I left out the danios because I personally don't like them very much. They are not as colorful as some of the other species that you listed and I think they would get lost in the 125 gallon tank. That's just my opinion though. Sounds like a fun tank! Good luck with it

i agree with dozey. but i would also like to add the it is one inch of adult fish to one gallon of water so if you go by that you will be farily safe!

Hello and welcome! I can only imagine a tank that size at it more than doubles my largest. Congratulations and good luck!

Are you serious?! Danios are fantastic! They are always playing tag and chasing each other around the WHOLE aquarium. They sure get around. The cardinals would be about the same size maybe smaller than them and are more susceptible to bad water so IMHO would fit the tetra scene but would be ill in comparison to the danios. Wonderful!

Welcome to Fishlore and congratulations on the new aquarium

You definitely came to the right place for info. I don't give stocking advice as a personal rule, but I would say you could have all of them. I too would leave out the clawed frog. As mentioned they need air to breath, and wouldn't get much food. They would get hungry enough to start chowing down on the other inhabitants. They also get fairly large, even though I do have 2 in my 175 gallon. If you want them in the mix, provide a place about 6 inches from the top they can call home. I put a piece of plexiglass about 12 inches long that is siliconed to 3 sides, forming a platform they can sleep on,hide out on,and get to the surface easily. They will chase the other fish, and are hilarious to watch. Good luck and again WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION.
