Hi; all, i have a slight ammonia spike in my 30-gallon, nitrite-0-nitrates-5 and the tank has 2-f-8 puffers in it. The spike is not quite .25and not quite -0-it is in between the 2-tests lol. i am doing 50% water changes and prime daily, and i think i was over-feeding? Any help please as puffs are very sensitive and the tank has been cycled for 1-1/2 months. Puffs are looking fine -no signs of distress or disease and this happened 4-days after i added them and they are both big eaters and very messy-penquin bio filter-200-and a -150, as well. bella

Shawnie; i had some live plants that were decaying in the puff tank-is it possable that caused the spike? or what would cause it lol ? bella

overfeeding and dieing plants both could cause it.....

Oh, great Shawnie; i have gotten rid of both lol i removed the plant well ,what was left lol and cut way done on feeding but i'm trying to tell them that-and they won't agree lol. The betta's are just beautiful Shawnie-i saw the pic's and names are so cute lol bella
