What are the Pro's and cons?..

I have a 25 G. tanks with freshwater fish in it! I had a tank where I had a gold fish in it and it crashed and shattered in many peices while I was cleaning it... I paniced and didn't know where to put my now homeless goldfish.... So i put him with my fresh water tank! so far all is going well! I was just curious about the pro and cons! I dont use a heater because my house it hot as is. at 75F. Other than temperature that else should I be worried about?...

Temperature is certainly a concern. Despite your ambient room temperature of 75°F do you know the temperature of your aquarium? Another concern would be your present stock. A single gold fish requires 20 gallons of aquatic space. If your FW tank was already well stocked the addition of your goldie could definitely be over-stocking your aquarium.

You should remove the goldfish if you want your other fish to live. Goldfish pee is very bad for the other fish. Did this once and learned the hard way by killing a lot of other fish in my tank. Goldfish are best kept alone.

Now that's one I've never heard before.

Agreed that goldfish definitely have different needs from tropicals....

Goldfish are extremely messy fish, with a huge bio load. They also prefer much lower temperatures than tropical fish. Another concern is their giant mouths and them stuffing anything they can fit into it. This makes many smaller tropical fish that are commonly kept vulnerable.
