Stocking tank.

Well after my danios are gone my aquarium is really boring only with 2 guppies. So I thought of a new list of fish.

3 Guppies (already have 2)
2 Pygmy Corydoras
2 Sunburst Platies
1 Sword tail (maybe)

All live bearers will be male.

Is there any problem to it?

Persoanlly, I think that would overstock a 10g.
From what I've read pygmy corys do better in groups .

Maybe 3/4 guppies and 4 pygmy cories. Still slightly overstocked but manageable.

i'm with lucy, i think the platies and swordtail would overstock you, and the cories would be much happier with at least 3. personally, i have three guppies, three corycats, a balloon mollie, some snails and some shrimp in my 10 gallon and it requires twice weekly water changes and vacuums rather than once a week, but if you're willing to do two smaller changes a week then it's manageable.

Actually I do water changes twice every week. I could take out the sword tail and add in another Pygmy Corydoras. I read they're pretty small and only grow up to 4 cm unlike most catfish.

EDIT: I was thinking for a little while and I think It would take me to long for me to fins pygmy corydoras. Good Corydoras are hard to find where I live, all I could find are common albino corydoras which I don't like.

i have two peppered and one false julli cory in mine, so you don't have to have the pygmys for it to work

I've been thinking a little more and thought about making it a guppy tank with 5 or 6 of them.

That would work and be really pretty. Are you thinking of all males or females or are you going to breed them?
It would be a good idea to wait until your tank finishes cycling before adding anything.

For now males because I don't have a breeding tank. And yeah I'm gonna wait till it cycles and get a nitrate tester... I really wonder why my mini master test kit don't come with it.
