Can I Put A Heater In This Tank?

Can I put a 10 gallon heater in a 2 gallon fry tank. (the heater was meant for my betta tank) OR Put like a 20 Gallon heater in a 10 gallon tank. (it says UP TO 10 gallons or 20 gallons. Does that mean it will suffice for stuff that size or that size and below?)

Patience, Chase.

I use 50W in my 5g's and 10'g's
The 50W says it's for for to 15g, so I'm guessing you have a 25w? It should say the wattage on the heater.

I have a Kritter Keeper thats a couple of gallons....maybe 3? I picked up a small tetra heater rated for 2-15g's at walmart for it. It seems to work well. Keeps the water at about 78F

theoretically any heater rated for a larger size tank should work in a smaller one, it should still shut off when the temperature gauge reads whatever you set the heater to. it doesn't always work, but it should
