Elite 10 filter

I was curious if it is possible to add a biobag to the back compartment of my filter? I have a Hagen Elite 10 which accepts an active carbon insert and a foam insert. Basically I am asking because it was brought to my attention that the addition of a biobag greatly aids the initial cycle and makes an active carbon switch out less stressful on the tank when the time comes (as I can change the active carbon and the biobag at different intervals)

The only place in the filter that the biobag can go is in the back compartment, but the biobags are not made for my filter specifically and I really don't want to restrict water flow.

My LFS said this would be fine, hence my reason on asking the real experts :-)

(also I just can't justify buying a new filter or anything yet, so that isn't an option. This is a 60 dollar hobby turned into a 300 dollar mess)

the biobag will work fine, i have lots of them from my whisper filters that came with 5 gallon kits that i bought. the only thing i would do is just remove the green plastic piece that goes in the middle of the bag so you can bend or fold or cut the media to whatever size will fit your filter best
