Lake Malawi tank

So i've decided to set up a Lake Malawi tank and am wondering if it would cause to much stress on the fish if I mixed mbuna, peacocks, and haps. Maybe just peacocks and mbuna's? What do you think?

I think you should get the fish you have now in the correct set up before getting new ones.

everything but the geophagus will be fine. I mean theres only 2 demasoni in there which are in lkae malawi and a pleco. The pH and temp are fine. The waters hard enough as well.

A 55 gallon tank is not large enough to mix all three. Usually to do that you need a couple hundred gallons. A 55 would make a great mbuna set up. Your demasoni will become too aggressive for any peacocks or haps. You should get a school of at least 11 demasoni to avoid aggression toward other fish. You could also mix in yellow labs, red zebras, and other kinds of mbuna (keeping in mind that you cannot mix mbuna that have similar coloring. You have to be careful about mixing mbuna from the same genus as well).
