Tiger Barb feeding question

Hello Guys,

I'm Enyong from the Phils. I just transfered 6 Tiger barbs to my 15 gal, aquarium. I have a smaller aquarium w/ albino barbs, and I feed them flakes, they have no trouble finding the food, everytime i go in my room they automatically go to the glass and go to the surface. However, the in my 15 gal tank the barbs dont seem to notice the flakes floating, they are always skimming the bottom of the tank. What do I need to do? I dont like to feed them sinkers because they go in between the gravel when not eaten.

Hope to read your responses.

Many Thanks...

Sometimes fish act funny until they get accustom to their new tank and in a bit of shock and fear. If I turn the light on too soon in the morning mine school at the bottom and loose all color.

i wouldnt worry too much about it yet, like CWO4GUNNER said they are probably just getting accustomed to the new tank. if they don't perk up you might want to try feeding them some frozen bloodworms (thaw them first in a small cup with a little water) or frozen brine shrimp.

Thanks for your replies guys, i think you both are right, now they are a bit aware of the flakes at the surface, hopefully in a couple of days they will learn to do a more Barb-attack-the food-eating...
