Does putting a pregnant fish in the breeder box speed up pregnancy

My Dalmatian Molly has been pregnant quite some time now, and its stomach is very boxed shaped. It's also been acting strange.

It's been alot slower, and seems to rest near the gravel

Is it about to give birth? Should I put it in the 2 way breeder? Will it speed up the pregnancy?

I wouldnt, but thats just my method. If you can wait and let her birth where she is comfortable then net the fry into the box you might have more survivors. They dont always fit or go through the divider and can end up snacks. Its also likely the box will stress the molly and she will abort the pregnancy or die.

I agree. I have had that happen with one of my guppies. Now I just let the natural way happen, and I added java moss and some floating plants to that the fry have somewhere to hide. I try to catch them to put them in my fry tank, but they are so fast the little buggers!
