| What kind of Cory do you recommend? I am thinking about getting cories for my tank. I would like to know what kind should i get? And why? |

| well honestly all it comes down to is size and coloration. if you want a smaller corycat, go with the pygmies (1.5 inches), all the others get to around 2.5 inches except for a few whose names i can't remember. otherwise, it's pretty much what you like. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog...hp?family_id=1 |

| What are some common cories that most fish stores would have? |

| probably peppered cories, bronze, false julii, three line cories, albino cories, and panda cories are the ones you will find the most. |

| I like false julii corys/trillneatus and sterbai corys. They are both so unique looking. Trillneatus have such cool markings and sterbai have the neat orange front fins. They are both very hardy fish. I have both in my tank. Last edited by aquatic mouse; February 17th, 2009 at 11:34 PM.

| I've only kept pandas, but if all cories act pretty much the same way I think you'll find you really like keeping cory cats! My pandas are so super cute, they sit around and do nothing for hours, then go hyper all over the tank. They're always together, make sure that whatever kind you get you get at least 3. I got the pandas bc 1) they happened to be in stock, 2) they only get up to 2", 3) they really do look like little panda bears |

| Personally, I would always try to get C. metae(bandit cory), they are so cute and are very fun to watch school and just swim as one.

| Corydoras remind me of a pack of dogs. They swim low to the gravel together "hunting" for pieces of food. Although I guess they're actually savaging. It's so cute! |

| Haha, I always think of them as puppies as well. Wagging their little tails around
I thought Three Line and False Julii were both C. trilineatus... |

| I'm with Alex...
The trilineatus is known as the 'three line' or 'false julii' because it looks like a julii but has three lines down the length of its body (2 white, one brown)
The one above that didn't have any stripes. |
