CAE question

Just a quick question I have 2 CAE in a 75 gal with lots of caves and plants will they be ok in there... they are about 6 months old and 6" long...thanks Rob

They tend to get quite aggressive as they get older. They will attack other fish.

I moved your post to its own thread so it doesn't hijack someone else's thread.

With your stock, I would be concerned about the algae eaters getting territorial, but lots of stuff to break up line of sight might help with this. It is very important to keep them eating algae (supplement the normal algae growth with algae wafers). Once they get a taste for slime coat, they will likely kill your bala sharks and your angel.
In addition, with the sharks and the algae eaters, you may run into nitrate issues as they grow to their full size. All of them will produce a lot of waste.

sorry I didn't mean too hyjack a thread I only wanted to ask one queaston...I do use algie waffers for the algie eaters and have lots of things to braek there line of view.. There are lots of caves for them to hide in...I also do gravel vac's every 2 weeks and water change's of about 15%...my water pram's are all within there marks....
