How's this 50G setup plan?

50 gallon long aquarium. 36" x 15" x 21"

Fish
- 10 harlequin rasboras
- 8 cardinal tetras
- 1 britlenose pleco ( 6" max )
- 1 male betta
- 3 oto catfish

Plants
- java fern
- java moss
- pennywort
- amazon frogbit
- wisteria
- water sprite
- anubias
- crystal wort
- orchid lily
- large drift wood

Hagen's Aqua Glo lighting.

Flourish Excel 1/2 a cap a day.

Medium water flow

Heater set to 24 Celsius

Hopes this works out well.

* I'm going to take the chance and hope that the male betta will be not overly aggressive, like the one I had

Thank you.

50 gallon is a great sized tank you have so many options. In my opinion you shouldn't put any betta male or female in a community tank. You will have problems, maybe not at first but eventually someone will get hurt. Please re think the Betta. ..I love bristlenose pleco's have you seen the albino??.They are beautiful!!..Ottos can be very hard fish to keep, They need a good amount of Algae to graze on and with the bristlenose in there he will most likely get it all...Ottos are very peaceful and won't compete for food. So maybe just 1 or the other..If you choose Ottos you could get more then 3 they love being with each other so that would work. Other then that I think it's a great stocking plan. Keep us posted and pics would be nice too.

I completely agree with Cesch, especially on the betta. if you'd like a really pretty "centerpiece" sort of fish that's peaceful, then look into pearl gouramis, german blue rams, or bolivian rams.

also (and this is 100% personal preference), i'd look into the rummynose tetras. IMO they are hardier than the cardinals (which are also hardier than the neons, BTW) and i LOVE the look. oh, and look into the calico bristlenoses too, they're gorgeous!!!

IF you plan on trying the betta in there, add him last and please, please have a backup plan of a bare minimum of a cycled, filtered, and heated 2.5 gallon tank (but i'd strongly suggest a 5 or a 10 instead)

I agree with everyone else - don't get him. He will likely be peaceful to the other fish, but the rasboras and tetras would nip his fins down to... shreds.

How many Watts per gallon of light?

I'd get 8 Otos - you have space, and they prefer the company of their own kind.
