Fishless cycle with new critters appearing

Hello,
I was just testing my ammonia when I discovered something that must have hitched a ride with my new sword plants. I am not sure what they are exactly. I saw the first one on the front of the glass. It is very very small...too small to photo. It is clear, round, with 2 antenae or small hair like things sticking out. In the middle of the clear area is a small dark spot. They definately are alive. After I found the first one I noticed at least 5 or 6 more. A few were on the leaves of the plants and a few on the side glass. Any idea if they might be snails or something else I should be aware of? If they are snails what should I do...I know I dont really want them in my tank. LOL
If they get bigger I will take a pic but for now thy are waaay to small. Thanks,
-Nate

They sound like snails. I like mine, and have all sorts in my tanks.

They aren't necessarily bad... But I've heard they breed like rabbits on caffinated crack.

they definitely sound like snails. if you dont want them in your tank, then take a slice of cucumber or zucchini, attach it to a veggie clip, and put it on the bottom of the tank. the next day, take it out, there should be lots of little snails on there

Thanks for the help guys...
I read they breed like rabbits too...I will try the veg trick hopefully there weren't many. I swear I am learning stuff the hard way by not researching enough! Next time bleach the plants....

I'm not even sure if that works.
I think that snails just spontaneously burst into existence.

Same thing happened to me, but I'm leaving them for the time being- they sure can eat some algae!
