looks like strands of hair

I don't have any idea what this is, but I just noticed this today. On the air wand that goes across the back of my tank, it look like long strands of white hair going right to the top of the tank, they are all along the air wand which goes across 30" on the back of the tank. Does anybody have any idea what this could be?

Hair algae? Just a guess from your description...I've never seen the stuff myself. A picture (if you can get one) would help other members identify what you're talking about.

from the pictures that I see, it doesn't look like hair algae nor the staghorn algae. The more I look at it, sometimes it looks like very small bubbles that wave in the water current. I just don't know.

If it's easy to get out, take it out, wipe it off and put it back in
