I noticed a trend after using ammo-lock my test reading for ammonia was altered, the first time it happened i was shocked and thought the weeks of daily water changes were doing nothing but after using it for a second time (a few weeks later) i noticed the same thing happened this made me do some research the link shown below and the facts stated that ammo-lock may alter the test readings which made me feel much more relaxed.

not sure if thats different than the API ammo lock but thats the ones we were discussing ...interesting read tho!

Im using the API one im not sure if thats the same product although on the two occasions i used it my ammonia readings went really high :s. it must convert them into ammonium or somthing. i know that the readings when dosing with ammo-lock shouldn't be much to worry about.

I'm not sure if is the same either the logo is different.

If you enlarge the pic (and in my case, use a magnifying glass ) it says it's made by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals.
