I'm very fortunate that all fish lived and the tank cycled fully in two months exactly. So, the question is, do I still add daily prime?

Vita-chem is used a few days a week and I'm monitoring Nitrates to decide when to change water (trying to keep it 20-25).

How about the prime and is there anything else I should be doing?

if you tank is cycled, the prime is only needed when you do water changes ...CONGRATS!!

you should do weekly water changes with gravel vacuums even if the nitrates aren't quite at 20-25ppm yet, A. it's much easier to do everything on a schedule (especially if you have multiple tanks like i have ) and B. it helps to ensure that there isn't any waste build up in the tank.
