slowly raising temps to 83-84 for two weeks will kill ich..you have to add some extra air because warmer water has less oxygen..an air bubble wand will be great...do a couple of gravel vacs as ich spores hide in the subtrate...

I would add medication on top of raising the temp.
Check the bottle for instructions. I think I remember something about 1/2 dose with tetras. But just read carefully to make sure also if you have scaless fish.

you dont need too ...the higher temps will kill it ...meds and gourami's dont mix well and some meds will kill your cycle

I'm sorry your fish aren't feeling well.

You shouldn't need to medicate for ich. Slowly raise the temp to 83/84F. Leave it there for at least 2 weeks. This will kill the ich spores. Increase aeration to make up for the lack of oxygen in warmer water.
Do a thorough gravel vac to pick up the spores.

Good luck.

Merged.

Beanz, Please stick to one thread for one question. It'll be easier for you and easier for the members to know what's already been suggested.
Thanks

The reason I suggested meds is that it looks like the ick has gotten to the stage where you start losing your fish. : ( But I don't know of the factors with a DG.

now that I see a pic, its not the beginning stages and I also think you need meds..but the gourami's labyrinth organ wont handle many kinds so he needs to be moved out or treat with something that doesnt have MALAEUCA as it will destroy their ability to breath....does the gourami have it on him also? if not, id move and treat him with the higher temps...even if he shows no signs, hes been exposed....ive never used meds so I have no suggestions but definitely do your homework

They do look pretty bad. My response was in the other thread, there weren't pics there. (Thanks Shawnie for pointing aout there was more than 1 thread.)
