when full or empty ? just remember to never use chemical cleaner on the inside of the tank. You can by an array of hand held and magnet scrubbers for when there is water in the tank.

A friend Crocheted me some pot scrubbers out of netting similar to what onion bags are made out of. They are wonderful for cleaning the inside of the glass and doesn't scratch the glass at all.

I use a brand new scrubby sponge. One that has sponge on one side and a no scratch scrubber on the other, fresh from the package. I rinse it well with very hot, hot water then rinse again in used tank water. I drain a little water out, so I'm not sloshing water everywhere, then scrub the inside walls of my tanks. Then I finish vacc'ing and doing my water change.
