Everyone is entitled to their own opinion..I guess we should be happy that were not disagreeing with CoryCat about a Oscar in a 10 gallon, Somone trying to convince us that big fish are fine in small tanks, like so many members have done..lol.....He's telling us to put fish in bigger tanks...Not a bad suggestion or idea..It's not cruel to have certain fish in 5 or 10 gallon tanks..or a betta in a 2.5 for that matter...I'm just thankfull that were not fighting the other battle.

docjr.. that was highly unnecessary.. for someone to have not posted anything this whole convesation then to put me down like that. me,amanda, and pink were clearly just debating and its up to us whether or not it was getting out of control.
and my intentions were CLEARLY NOT TO STIR up anything. clearly on opinion

Yeah, but people are obviously going to be offended if you say 20gal and under tanks are cruel. It might be your opinion but it's going to offend people. If I thought it was cruel to keep fish in tanks smaller than 75gal,(which I don't),I wouldn't post it on the site as not everyone wants a tank that big. Just not a good idea.........

And now you call them closeminded!

This thread is going into the wrong direction. I am offended about how you look at other people as being "closeminded". So if I say that all pitbull owners are drug delaers is that true? Or are most pitbull owners friendly and loving?

I am done with this thread

So do i and there different also !!!!!, i also have many school fish in fours? am i evil?

this debate about tanks size ect is all a matter of opinion nobody is right nor wrong you may even argue that fish should be free and left in the sea in a natural state but i don't think anybody here has that view its a fish keeping forum .

I agree..It's all a matter of opinion..This forum is nice because it is about opinions....CoryCat struck a chord..I do believe this was not his intention..In fact this thread isn't a agurment about his thread but about his sig.....All opinions can and should be stated with tack so the message behind what your saying doesn't get lost.

Edit:
I also think this could have been a very informative thread had it not taken such a turn....For example How is it decided what tank size is right for a certain fish...I've never really understood that...I'm sure there is some scientific equation behind it..lol...It would be interesting to see how it's determined.

(i could go on and on but ill stop for now.. lol)

thanx for reading

Reading this post, I do not believe Cory was trying to start a debate about the ethics of tank size, but rather to condemn some recent posters who have gotten themselves in over their heads. If we "condemn" those who come here for help, people may stop coming altogether... which defeats the whole purpose of this "Beginner's Forum"... and ultimately hinders the gaining of knowledge to give better care for our fish.

Thanks you docjr03. I couldn't think of a better way of ending this thread.

With that said, this thread is closed.
