| That Sounds Like It Could Be Fin Rot or Another bacterial infection. |

| NO9TORRES, I moved your question to a thread of it's own. This way you can get more personalized responses.
Since he seems to be improving with better water conditions, just keep your eye on him.
He could be feeling the effects of a cycling tank. |

| im sorry your cory isnt feeling well..they are amazing fun fish for sure!! I love the albinos ..although it sounds like ammonia poisioning to me and not so much bacterial im wondering how longs t he tank been up and running and what was it cycled with? is your tank info correct and its only been up a week? cories are super sensitive to water conditions and even tho yours is probably way more clear and clean than a petstore, was it cycled? I hope he gets better! |

| Yeah Come to think of it shawnie it does sound like ammonia poioning. Hey Is Your cory runnning lol i mean swimming very fast Up to the surface like "gasping for oxygen if so you might want to get some ammo lock or another ammonia detoxer. test your water too an ammo test only runs about ten bucks (stay away from strips they are unnaccurate ive had bad experiences. One time i tested my pH with strips and it was very low and i freaked out and got the liquid tester and im just like phew! lol but yeah hope this helps! Hope your cory is feeling better soon! |

dont use ammon lock..otherwise it will never cycle..the ammonia needs to be available for the cycle process so the prime or stress coat + keeps it available but makes it non toxic for 24 hours... |

| Oh okay i ddnt no his tank was still cycling as you said the prime or stress coat will work too. Ive never had the greatast luck wit stress coat removing ammonia but it does help my fihs fins grow back if they are nipped. Ill have to try the prime. But yeah as you said no ammo lock you are right. Dont listen to me. (that sounds like im being sarcastic but im not lol) Sorry i ddnt get the thread that he was cycling. |

| I generally find with the Corys that if they're active then they're happy. As Shawnie said though, probably worth checking your Ammonia levels. |

| sometimes I can see the lines on my albinos..but its not really red...taking a break for them is natural but a tank thats a week old, or even a couple weeks old, could still not be cycled and it might just not have affected the cory with the ammonia yet...dont assume if hes fine now, that he will be in a few days in an uncycled tank |

| If you don't go over 80 it won't do any good. Might as well leave it where it is. |
