Stocking my Planted 20 long

Hey,
I have a planted(hope to make it more planted) 20long freshwater tank with no fish but im planing to add some very soon.

I was wondering if this combination of fish would be detrimental towards eachother.

2 Checkerboard cichlids (lyretailed) Pair,
2 american Flagfish pair,
and 6 or so ember tetras,
with a possible few ottos...

if this combination isnt safe could i have some suggesttions please..

Thanks guys
Dan

Hi Dan,

I don't know too much about the fish that you have selected, but I looked at the fish profiles and thought they would be all compatible. There's a slight problem, though, we don't know what you water parameters are, and if you could let us know, that would help!
Ottos prefer softer and acidic water, where as flagfish prefer hard to alkaline water. Make sure you read the profiles thoroughly, and take notes to see if the water parameters match. Also look out for the tempermant, and size!
Hope I helped!

i was planing on using mostly rain water for checkerboards, because thats what i heard is good for them.
but seeing as i will prbably need more than that my tap water is around 7.6ish if that helps and from what ive heard from others the temperature wont be a problem
