Stocking

I'm coming to the end of my cycle and am wondering if this will be overstockig my 10G
  • 3 Male Guppies
  • 5 Neon Tetras
  • 2 Dwarf Gouramis
  • Some Shrimp/ An oto

i would drop the tetras, besides they like to be in groups of 6 or more anyway.

Hi Owen congrats on getting to the end of yhr cycle. It's a good feeling.

Unfortunately that combination of fish would over stock your tank.
You could go with 6 neons, they do best in a school
or
3 guppies and a couple of ots
or
5 guppies

I'm not familiar enough with Dwarf Gouramis to advise on them.

One Dwarf Gourami would work with maybe 3 guppies. I wouldn't do 2 though, because they would pick on each other until one died.

Agreed on the gourami, only one in a ten gallon tank. In a large enough tank you can keep two males, but ten gallons isn't enough room for them to establish and defend their territory. I would say you could either do:

6 neons

OR

1 dwarf gourami
3 guppies
and a few shrimp for the bottom
