Algae Build Up No Algae Eaters in the tank :(

Will My Algae Build Up Without an Algae Eater In The Tank. Will My Cories Eat The Algae.

No Cories won't eat Algae,they scavenege for food in the gravel. Best bet if you want an Algae eater is a BN Pleco or Oto's. Oto's do best in groups of 3 or more.

Well I Heard Tat Ottos and Plecos Poop alot and cause exxessive amounts of ammonia

Small ones will be fine. Oto's and BN Pleco's don't grow very big at all.

I think you'll be fine without an algae eater. I don't have one in any of my tanks, and I've never had an algae problem. If you do have a problem, it could be because of overfeeding, because the tank is by a window, or because you don't vacuum frequently enough.

If you've ruled these out as possible causes, then you may want to think about getting a few ottos or maybe some snails. Not a pleco, though; they grow over a foot long and need a 55g tank minimum. A bristlenose pleco may be a better choice, as they only grow around 6 inches, if my remember correctly.
