One Baby Snail

Well Dozey and myself are parents,of what appears to be one very tiny apple snail. He is about the size of a pin head. He looks as if he is only a couple of hours old. We have no fish in the tank so there is a possibility of more....how many hundreds of eggs does one snail lay? Doh!

im not sure on the exact numbers, although apple snail populations are easy to control, the MTS is a bit more difficult but still manageable

its nice to see Dozey has a few more friends in the tank now

Are you sure its an apple? because the eggs of the apple are VERY visible, bright pink and cannot be underwater. Instead, they lay them over the water line and when the snails hatch they go to the bottom.

Have you added plants recently? maybe it was already hatched in a plant when it came?

Pics? I love apples!

Yes, now we have something else to watch in our very empty tank.LOL. Only problem is, he is so small, he is very hard to keep track of. There are no live plants in the tank so he didnt come from an outside source.
