How Often Should i feed my fish? I Feed them once a day but they dont come to the surface they wait till it sinks and then a bunch of it is wasted. It makes my ammonia level bad

Can you tell us a bit more? I feed my fish two times a day, but it would help if i knew what kind of fish you had, as well as how many, and how big your tank is. The general guideline is 1-2 times a day, and only feed them as much as they can eat in two minutes.

this could be because they are stressed. try feeding them more than once a day, maybe two or three smaller feedings. only feed them as much as they can eat within three minutes, no more

Chase you can feed them once daily or the same portion over two times a day, you can even skip one day a week but if you feel you cant do it then don't. just remember that a fish stomach is about the size of its eye. over feeding causes increases in ammonia and causes fish immune systems to suffer so try not to overfeed them.
